Today’s commercial real estate professionals must possess a strong foundation in business, together with specialized expertise in real estate finance, investment, valuation, development, market analysis, and feasibility. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Real Estate prepares students for successful careers across the commercial real estate industry through a rigorous curriculum that combines analytical training with real-world application. Throughout the program, students develop the knowledge and technical skills needed to evaluate, finance, develop, and manage commercial real estate assets while tailoring their coursework to areas of professional interest, including commercial real estate development, real estate finance and investments, and appraisal and valuation.
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Real Estate
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a major in Real Estate prepares students for careers across the commercial real estate industry by combining a strong business foundation with specialized coursework in finance, investment analysis, development, appraisal and valuation, market analysis, and real estate law. Through a rigorous, industry-oriented curriculum, students develop the analytical, technical, and professional skills needed to succeed in commercial real estate development, investment, brokerage, appraisal, consulting, lending, asset management, and related fields.
Real Estate Minor
A minor in real estate provides the opportunity for students in any major to develop the foundational understanding of commercial real estate that is used by successful professionals in the real estate industry.

RE 481 Overview
Internships are one of the most important ways to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional success. By working alongside industry professionals, students not only build their skills but also expand their networks, explore career paths, and position themselves competitively in the job market.
Students interning in the real estate field with a firm approved by the Lied Center for Real Estate are eligible—and encouraged—to enroll in RE 481 (“Real Estate Internship”) to earn three college credits for their work.
